Retro Gaming Station "Scout"
I just finished building my second media centre / gaming station into an old TV set. This time there is no RaspberryPi at its core but a fully-fledged computer. The TV is a 1971 Baupunkt "Scout", the wooden case gave me a lot of freedom. I used a 12" display, a Mini ITX Board and a 3 GHz quad core. The keyboard is retractable and has Cherry MX brown mechanical switches. Mouse control is simulated by a very sturdy 1980s Mach 2 Joystick. Two mouse buttons, power and reset switches, fan control and LEDs are located on the front. USB, audio connectors and a cardreader are on the side, LAN, power and HDMI on the back. The project was a lot of fun, but ate up a lot of my time, which is why I am happy it is finally done and works as intended.
